Bandage by Aaron Philogene

Cold water
still apathy
once brave
in eyes not yet met
a few words
change egos
and charge drivers
and wrap cloth around whatever needs healing
around what keeps bleeding
it staggers perspiration
and locks knees tight
to articulate ball and joint, linear oscillations
it wipe salt from eyes
and into skin fibre
this is cloth
not words
ink lets you know me
cloth keeps whatever you need now
hidden
but once i was brave
and once i was ready
and once i wore a smile
where do these things change
and where do paths split
why do trees sway
and plants sometimes stick
why do thorns hurt
and nettles kiss
why did you like me once
now i’m not shit
cloth heals impact wounds
and writing fixes whatever’s wrong with me
but even if i write forever
there's always still that swaying tree.

Aaron Philogene something akin to a writer.
