Madonna goes to the orphanage and handpicks the most feminine boys to raise in her underground bunker. In their new home, they are often nervous at first but soon settle in. The boys are assigned roles based on their main interest. Some are made chefs, others fashion designers, and most important of all, dancers. The dancers are what Madonna really wants from the feminine boys. These feminine boys are given special attention and made to dance for hours at a time every day until their bodies are hard and sinewy.

The boys are also rotated to spend the night with Madonna in the aboveground mansion. They are moved from the underground bunker to the aboveground mansion under blankets by security guards in black suits. They are sworn to secrecy about what goes on in Madonna's bed, though often they cannot remember due to excessive alcohol consumption.

When they return to the underground bunker, they are often withdrawn for days and sometimes weeks. The other feminine boys attempt to comfort the latest feminine boy to visit aboveground with Madonna and encourage them to join in the day’s activities. Some deal with it better than others. The older feminine boys look after the younger feminine boys. No one talks about it and no one considers leaving. Who wouldn’t want to be a backup dancer for Madonna? You’d have to be out of your mind!
