THE UNIVERSAL AFTERWORD by Avee Chaudhuri

Shocking, yes? Likely the product of an unstable mind, either recalling or inventing. Did it happen, really? Scholars and historians bound by cold empiricism have to make a distinction between literal and symbolic truth at their fancy summits and salons (I prefer Chili’s), because for them the difference is somehow profound, morbid, earth shattering. But really, the difference is trivial. For instance, whether a Don Juan is castrated by a unicorn or a vengeful brother is hardly relevant. Both creatures obey the same laws of piety and love; both respond to the same forlorn call of some distant retrograde star.
